VCSE Commissioning Briefing Note for Commissioners Published

The VCSE Commissioning and Investment Group, a formal subgroup of the Greater Manchester VCSE Leadership Group, has published a briefing note for public sector partners working in commissioning. The briefing note identifies opportunities and challenges for those involved in commissioning services, as well as wider audiences involved in planning and providing services to Greater Manchester communities.

The note highlights the unique value of the sector, how changes in the approach to commissioning and procurement will affect the relationship between the VCSE sector and partners, how the cost of living has added to the pressures felt by those working in commissioning and recommendations for creating a healthy commissioning system.
