The New Provider Selection Regime (PSR) - 10 months on
Late last year The Alternative Provider Collaborative and The GM VCSE Leadership Group co-hosted an information session on the new Provider Selection Regime which came into effect on 1st Jan ’24.
Organisations, referred to as ‘relevant authorities’ (NHSE, ICBs, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts and Local and Combined authorities) under the PSR, are now required to follow the PSR when arranging health care services, irrespective of whether the providers they are considering are from the NHS, the independent, or the social business sector.
As promised at the time, we will now host a similar event looking at how the first few months of the new regime has played out for providers in GM, how the sector has been impacted so far and if there are still risks and/or opportunities that are yet to emerge.
The full agenda including guest speakers, will be released in due course. There will be time allotted on the day for guests to share their experiences (positive or negative) so far but if you have a case study you’d be willing to share as part of the agenda email Franky at info@gmapc.org.uk
