Greater Manchester Mayor to join event addressing Social Justice and Climate Justice Missions
An event connecting the pressing need for action on social and climate justice is taking place next week in Manchester on Thursday 15 June. The first of its kind, the event will bring together the various mission-based action networks, partnerships and taskforce groups from across Greater Manchester. The event will explore what the work of these groups looks like in more detail, how they can achieve more together through cross-network collaboration and what the challenges and opportunities are in pursuing these social ambitions alongside the 2038 carbon neutrality target and the climate justice agenda. The event will take place at Freight Island in Manchester city centre and Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, will join alongside a range of speakers.
