Building Data Confidence: How Greater Manchester’s VCSE Sector Is Growing Together Through Peer Learning
This blog, by Accord Officer and Project Manager at 10GM, Sarah Hudson, shares more about the VCSE Data Peer Learning Network: Greater Manchester’s VCSE sector’s approach to tackling data challenges through collaboration.
In Sarah’s blog, she tells us about the VCSE Data Peer Learning Network: Greater Manchester’s VCSE sector’s approach to tackling data challenges through collaboration. Launched in response to sector-wide gaps in data skills and support, the network connects over 140 members to share knowledge, build confidence, and strengthen data use.
In 2023, 10GM partnered with Data Orchard CIC to research and understand the state of data and intelligence in the VCSE sector in Greater Manchester. The project’s purpose was to explore challenges and barriers, and identify opportunities and actions for advancing data capabilities in the Greater Manchester VCSE sector. This work was funded and supported by NHS Greater Manchester Population Health. In response to the report, came the creation of a VCSE Data & Intelligence Peer Learning Network - a space where organisations can come together to grow, share, and support each other on their data journeys.
